Coach's Biographies

 

Sam Hochberg - Head Coach  Varsity

Coach Hochberg is a Wakefield High School graduate and member of the 1997 State Championship soccer team.  He has extensive coaching experience on the youth, high school, and club levels.  Hochberg has coached Wakefield U14 boys, Reading High School Freshmen and club teams in PA and MA.  Recently married, Coach Hochberg currently resides in Wakefield and is extremely excited for his first year as the head of the boys’ soccer program at Wakefield Memorial High School. 

 

Andrew Tetrault - Assisant Coach Varsity

Coach Tetrault is a Wakefield High School graduate and former teammate of Coach Hochberg on the 1997 State Championship soccer team.  After high school he attended Eastern Nazarene College where he played 4 years of collegiate soccer while being elected to captain the team his senior year.  Following college he taught in the North Middlesex Regional School system for 2 years.  He has since moved back to his home town with his wife and has been teaching at the middle school in Wakefield since 2006.  Coach T coached the Wakefield JV team during the 2007 season.  He is extremely excited to assist at the Varsity level this fall and is looking forward to a great 2008 season.

Scott Thornton - Freshman Coach

Coach Thornton has extensive coaching experience on the youth, high school, and club levels. He has coached at Tewksbury Memorial High School, Westford Academy, Melrose Youth Soccer and Melrose High School. He presently coaches for the S.F. Vikings Soccer Club at Gordon College as well as Phillips Andover Soccer Camp. He is currently teaching mathematics at Melrose High School.  Scott is looking forward to an exciting 2008 season.
